Have a question regarding Bristol Rescue and our services? Below you may find an answer. Otherwise, direct questions to [email protected]
What’s your billing policy?
Bristol Rescue retains the right to bill patients for services provided by our agency. Your insurance will be billed first. If you are a subscriber to our services, there is no need to worry about receiving a bill from our agency.
When should I call 9-1-1?
If you are having a medical emergency or event that you believe you should be evaluated for, please do not hesitate. We are here to serve you.
The cost of an ambulance transport should not deter you from calling. Bristol Rescue will bill insurance first before billing a patient.
Is there an age requirement for joining Bristol Rescue Squad?
Full membership requires candidates to be at least 16 years of age in order to gain EMS licensure in Vermont. No prior EMS experience is needed. We will pay for your education and training.
How does the subscription program work?
As a subscriber to Bristol Rescue, for your first 25 transports by us per year, you will not receive a bill for our services. The subscription is 9/1-8/31 of the following year.
We still bill your insurance, but any amount they do not cover will be waived.
The subscription program for Bristol Rescue only applies to patients transported by our agency. In the case you are transported by one of our mutual aid partners, your subscription may or not be honored.
